The Galaxy Diner was a modern retro style diner offering the usual burgers, sandwiches, as well as shakes, malts and sundaes. It closed in the late summer of 2019.

x Pretty much the normal menu for a modern retro diner. They also have a breakfast menu of course. It was a fun stop for a burger when we were there in 2013.

Here's another look at the dining room. Plenty of room to enjoy a meal or desert.

Coming from the west the restaurant is on your right and sits a bit below road level when you first spot it.

xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
