The former 10 unit Ranchito Motel, now the High Desert Inn is lcoated at 2803 E. Andy Devine Ave. It was built in 1940 and updated in 1955. It appears that the 1955 work included adding more units. In the 1959 AAA Guidebook it was listed as offering rooms from $4.00 to $10.00 with showers and "pay TV". It looks like there wqas a swimming pool at one time, but if so it has been filled in.
