In 2015 the former Tonto Rim Motel was the was the Winslow Rest Inn. According to the Historic Resource Survey of Route 66 in Arizona it was built in 1946 with additional construction in 1951. With 20-22 guest rooms It's a typical "U" shaped building with parking and the office/owners/managers quarters in the courtyard. Heating was provided by Panel Ray units. The motel featured tile baths, full carpeting and air conditioning. Some units offered kitchenettes.

It's located West 2nd Street which is the 1926 alignment of 66 at that spot on the west end of town.
