The Crapduster is a sculptural cross between and airplane and a manure spreader. It was designed and built by Lowell Davis in 1997. Davis is the visionary creator of Red Oaks II.

x The sculpture is located at the Flyin' W Truck Stop, 13011 Hwy. 96 (intersection of Hwys. 96 & V), east of Carthage. It is across the road from the Best Budget Inn and the Kel-Lake Motel

x The "license plate" style plaque is dated 1997 and "signed" Lowell Davis with thanks to George.Charlie.Tavo.

xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
