Charles Whisler settled at this location in 1953 and when he retired, his son took over for several years. People buy these hamburgers by the bag full and since it's take out only service, there isn't much choice. There are a couple of picnic tables outside for dining in good weather. We've used those tables a couple of times and plan to do so again!

There's a cool old style sign on both sides of the building. The building has been painted red and new sign installed out front since we took these photos.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
