The Lebanon I-44 Speedway opened in 1983 just east of Lebanon next to the old Route 66. The 3/8 mile track has an interesting history having opened as a dirt track then getting paved with asphalt in 1989, then reverting to dirt in 2003 before being repaved with asphalt in 2009.
