This is one of those places that I haven't had much luck finding information about, but it's a pretty neat looking old building. It was fairly overgrown by shrubbery when we went by in 2017 and appeared to have been closed for some time.

The former the Hillside Tavern from the late 1920s is located next to Pinga's. There were also gas pumps and cabins here. The building has been so heavily modified that it's hard to see any of the original from the street. The original second floor was damaged by fire in the 1950s and rebuilt, but the front section seen here with the unusual window arrangement is a fairly recent addition. This is shortly before you come to the Beaver Creek Bridge a few miles west of Zeno's in Rolla.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
