East < GO > West

The 104 foot long truss bridge over Johnson Creek is located on Farm Rd 2062 just east of Spencer which is just about where the road turns beyond the bridge in this photo.

The 1923 bridge is located on the 1926 alignment of Route 66, take MO Hwy. 266 west from Paris Springs Junction, cross MO 96 onto MO "N" then turn west on Farm Rd 2062 at the Historic Route 66 Byway sign. The road surface you see beyond the bridge is still the original Portland Cement that has never been resurfaced.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
