Ben Brewer built six cabins in 1935. By 1939 there were eight cabins, a cafe and Conoco Service Station. There were still a couple of gas pumps out front, I assume they are for nostalgia not for actually pumping gas. R&S Floral has been located here since 1963.

The native stone cabins have had their original hip roofs replaced with shed style roofs and are apparently used for storage.

The "Modern Cabins" sign was restored in 2014 and stands proudly in front of the cafe / station building.

Across the street there are Christmas ornaments hanging from the trees.
