The
bridge was over 80 years old and looked like it needed some love from
the Bridge Lovers Brigade when we went by in 2015. It seems like it
was getting some of that love in the spring of 2021, so you might have
to take I-25 from exit 323 to 319 and backtrack east to get to San Jose.

Did
You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane
road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned
    lanes are still there.
