Like a lot of service stations this one changed hands fairly often and by 1942 it was Emmon's Service Station. A few more new operators and by 1965 it was home to Fady Auto Supply. In the 70s it was a used car dealership. The DiGregory brothers purchased the vacant building and opened the Standard Diner in 2006, which closed in 2020 and reopened as the Range Cafe. You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane
road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned
lanes are still there.
