The former Rossi Motel is till open and operating as the Braidwood Motel. Originally the Rossi Motel it was part of a family business which included the Weitz Cafe Building (demolished) and the former Rossi Service Station (now a tire store). Located on the Post-1940 alignment of Route 66 where Hwy. 129 intersects with Hwy. 113.

xThe Rossi Motel was built in 1951. It is located on the Post 1940 Route 66 alignment.

xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
