Bill Boje built Marlborough Lanes in 1960. Boje sold the bowling alley in 1977 but bought it back in 1988 and renamed the Sunset Lanes. Probably the most interest thing about the bowling alley is that Comedian and Actor Danny Thomas reportedly held his first bowling benefit for the world renowned St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital here.

The Sunset Lanes bowling alley is located on the right side of Route 66 going west, on the west side of the Coral Courts site.

xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
