Eureka: Going west from Crestwood follow Watson and merge onto I-44-west
to Eureka and the Route 66 State Park. The park visitor center is on
the east side of the river, but is the city of Eureka and much of the
park sits on the west side of the Meramec River in what used to be known
as Times Beach.

You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane
road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned
lanes are still there.
