Coming from the east you leave the north frontage road and cross over I-40 at exit 47 and head south on 9th St. to Old Route 66 at the first stop sign. Short sections of old 66 on both ends of town are easily missed

xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
