The Ottawa County Courthouse was built in 2009 replacing the old courthouse built in 1916-1917. It is place on the north end of the complex as the old courthouse was on the south end. When this one was completed, the old one was torn down.

There are two Spanish American war Cannon located at the complex. The cannons came from Fort Bliss and For Sam Houston in 1923. They were refurbished in 1958 & 2000.

Also at the complex is a replica of the Statue of Liberty that celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Boy Scouts. This statue was dedicated in 1950. It was also refurbished in 2000.

There also is a memorial honoring the many who gave their lives in the service of our country through the years, as did the location of the Route itself.
