All the murals show different parts of Cuba's history. You can receive a pamphlet on the murals from the Crawford County Historic Museum at 308 N. Smith St.

Shown above is the Bette Davis mural located on the Cuba Free Press building on Washington & Lawrence Sts. On a 1948 visit to Cuba Davis and her husband denied a reporters request for a photo, which the reporter snapped anyhow. This mural illustrating the dispute was painted by artist Ray Harvey.

x Al West Tractor Sales- Viva Cuba, Cuba's beautification organization, built this wall for the mural of the former business and long time mayor, Al West, Sr. It was painted by the Whitesitt group of St Louis

x The Phillips 66 Building murals This building was originally a Phillips 66 gas station and later a Mobil station. It has been restored to how it would have looked in the 1930s. Missouri artist Ray Harvey painted the murals on the garage bays.

x The Amelia Earhart mural is located on Washington & Madison Streets. It depicts Earhart and her plane after a forced landing near Cuba interrupted a flight from Illinois to Los Angeles in 1948. Artists: Shelly Steiger and Julie Balogh Brand.

x The River mural depicts a family enjoying a little free time with a picnic lunch, as well as some tubing and canoeing on an Ozark river. Dad has hooked a big fish, so maybe they'll be having that for dinner. The mural is located at Franklin St. & Spenser Ave. Artists: Shelly Smith Steiger & Julie Balogh Brand

x The Cuba's Boys from World War II mural honors the young men who went off to fight WWII and the Gold Star Boys who paid the ultimate price. The mural is located at the intersection of Washington and Filmore. Artists: Michelle Loughery and Shelly Steiger.

Banker A.J. Barnett owned the first Model T Ford in Cuba. This mural shows he and a Model T Ford. Between 1920 and 1959 he served as the first cashier and President of Peoples Bank. He also served ten years as mayor of Cuba. This corner was the site of the bank in the early 1900s. Artists: Michelle Loughway from British Columbia and local local artist Shelly Steiger.

The 2017 Osage Nation mural "Meeting in Missouri" shows the Osage's meeting with early French traders in Missouri. Artisits: Norman Akers, an Osage Native American, assisted by Isaiah Stewart. It is located on the side of Little Jack Horner's Desserts at 108 Buchana St.

x The Civil War murals are located on Buchanan St. between Washington & Main St. California artist Dan Gray painted these five panels depicting various battles between Union and Confederate soldiers during the Civil War.

x The Apple Barrel mural is located on Washington St. between Smith & Buchanan Sts. It shows workers stand among barrels of apples waiting to be shipped out on the train around the turn of the last century (ca 1900). Artist: Shelly Smith Steiger

x The Prosperity Corner mural located on the Southeast corner of Washington & Smith Streets on the Hayes Shoe Store building depicts the Prosperity Corner store building that used to stand on this corner. Artist: Kelly Poling.

x The Senator Harry Truman mural is located on Washington St. between Smith & Hickory Streets. It commemorates a visit by then senate candidate Harry Truman. Truman is pictured in front of the Wallace House next door to the mural. Artist: Jay Ferger

x The Millworks mural is located on the Robert's Lumber building on Smith St. between Washington & Spencer Sts. This mural takes us back to 1948 when the building was the site of custom woodworking and sheet metal production. Primary artists: Shelly Smith Steiger & Julie Balogh Brand. Julie Krovicka painted the image of her father in the left foreground.
